Natural Wonders Ecological Tour - Cruise the secluded waters of the Upper Mississippi River, which is home to over 306 species of birds, 51 species of mammals, 45 species of amphibians and reptiles, 119 species of fish, and 43 species of mussels. Over 1/3 of the waterfowl in the continental United States utilize the Mississippi River Flyway during the spring and fall migration. This area is famous for bald eagle concentrations, which at times, exceeds several hundred, and is also host to a large number of nesting bald eagles. Colonial nesting birds, (great blue herons, egrets, and cormorants) make this area their home. In addition, tours may encounter pelicans, swans or other fascinating birds. Witness muskrats, otters, and beavers swimming at the water's edge or near their lodges. Observe many species of turtles sunning themselves on fallen logs as you venture down the river. You may even get a glimpse of raccoon, fox, coyote, and white tail deer. Tours also include discussions on the natural history and ecology of the Upper Mississippi River Valley.
Sunset Cruises - Experience the majesty of a Mississippi River sunset on this one-hour cruise. Navigate into the setting sun as the river flows from west to east within this portion of the river.
River Cruise/Boat Ride - Sit back and relax as we cruise the mighty Mississippi. This cruise is simply for the enjoyment of the resource without dialogue. This is also a good choice for those interested in a boat ride.
